The new SeaMeWe-6 system is being developed, connecting several countries between Southeast Asia and Western Europe. It covers an area of ​​19,000 km and includes Bangladesh Submarine Cables, Bharti Airtel, Diragu, Djibouti Telecom, Mobili, Orange Group, Syntel, Sri Lanka Telecom, Telecom Egypt, Telecom Malaysia and Teleline.

The SeaMeWe-6 system is much faster than previous systems and will be twice as fast as its predecessors, according to its developers. The new cable will pass through Malaysia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, India, Pakistan, Djibouti, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. And is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2025.
